Welcome to Runzalot!
The sport of running has grown by leaps and bounds over the past 20 years. Every town with more than a few traffic lights has its own marathon. On any given weekend you can probably find several 5 or 10K races within driving distance of your home. Everyone knows someone training for a marathon. First let me say this is all great. We Americans need to be more active and anything that helps us do that is a very, very good thing. However on the way to becoming a mainstream activity, running may have forgotten it's most loyal customers...the hard core runner.
By hard core or serious, I don't mean someone who is necessarily an Olympian or winning races left and right. I mean one who cares about performance: their times and place. You take training seriously and consider running a very important part of who you are. You're willing to make the sacrifices necessary to push yourself to your physical and mental limits and beyond. Running isn't a passing fancy or a bucket list item, it is a way of life that you stick with year after year. While there is no shortage of websites, mobile apps, books, magazines and other tools to help you get started as a runner, unfortunately there isn't much to help you get faster.
That's where Runzalot comes in. Runzalot was designed to help serious runners run faster. We know you're motivated. We know you've got the basics down.
